I was blessed at a young age to be introduced to fishing on Texoma by people who took time out of their lives to show a young person the excitement and value of this sport, with over 30 years of experience as a competitive angler and a recreational fisherman. I have developed the skills and knowledge of what it takes to put you on the fish.
My guarantee to anyone who gets on my boat is that I will do everything possible to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable, and successful experience on the water. However, I do not guarantee a limit of fish. We will fish a public body of water for wild fish under unpredictable weather conditions. I am passionate about fishing, and catching fish is a priority on every trip, but I am just as passionate about seeing people have a good time outdoors.
I am a full-service striper and smallmouth bass fishing guide that offers year-round fishing for multiple species: Striper, Smallmouth, Largemouth, and jugline catfish. I will also do combination trips seasonally. Morning trips usually start before sunrise and run to mid-day (actual times will vary depending on the time of year). Afternoon trips are available at certain times of the year as well. We will provide everything you need for a safe, fun-filled day of striper fishing. All gear, equipment, bait, tackle, rods, reels, and adult life preservers are provided. Children under 13 must bring their own life preservers, which must be worn while on the boat. I also have a small ice chest on the boat for your use. I will also clean and bag your catch of striper and catfish when we are done and send you home with some of the finest table fair you can get. All smallmouth and largemouth are catch-and-release only.
Different methods exist; each can effectively catch Striped bass and other fish species on Texoma. I, however, primarily use live shad that I catch fresh each morning before the trip. Threadfin and gizzard shad are the primary forage in Lake Texoma and hands down the most productive day in and day out. On occasion, we will use lures, but it is rare. I provide high-quality and well-maintained gear and tackle for you to use. I will bait your hook, land the fish, and get you rebaited and back to catching as quickly as possible.
Striper fishing is my year-round attraction. It offers fast-paced action and a good number of catch-and-keep fish, with a 10-fish-per-person limit. These trips are great for small or large groups and can accommodate any skill level of fisherman.
These are some of the most exciting freshwater fishing you can experience. With drag-screaming runs and explosive breaches, these trips are a blast! The maximum number of people is three, and basic casting skills are preferred.
If you like catfish, we have your hookup! I run seasonal jugline catfish trips from November through March. Lake Texoma is renowned for its population of giant blue cats. These trips can be stand-alone or combined with other species.
